San Leandro, CA

As a large national retailer, Staples® has developed a prototype and construction standards. In their expansion in San Leandro, CA, we designed the mechanical and plumbing systems for the alteration and addition to an existing mall closely following their standards. The existing space was below an on roof parking lot with a post-tension slab that could not be modified. Through close coordination and creative design, we reused the existing mechanical unit locations and openings through the parking lot surface to serve the new retail areas below.
