In-Shape City®

Located in Bakersfield, CA, In-Shape City® modified an existing grocery store to build a 45,000 sq.ft. exercise facility. The club included large workout areas, an indoor pool, spa, sauna, locker rooms, day spa, kid's area and juice bar. As a packaged deal, we provided mechanical, plumbing and electrical services. Because the workout and pool areas had no ceilings, the mechanical design included the layout of a large amount of exposed ductwork, which required close coordination with both the architect and In-Shape City®. Likewise, we coordinated extensively to layout the indoor lighting system, meeting the needs and desires of the end user while complying with local codes and energy usage requirements.
