Heron School is a brand new school in Sacramento, CA, in the Natomas Unified School District. It consists of a 55,000 square foot stick built elementary school and an additional middle school with portables and a dual use gymnasium building. The mechanical design consisted of a "clean" metal roof with mechanical units hidden in wells. Close coordination was needed to ensure the mechanical units would not be visible from the campus. The use of low velocity supply air with acoustically designed ductwork layout, we maintained minimal noise levels in the classrooms.
