The new Civic Center for the City of Brentwood includes a 58,000 sq ft, three story city hall; a 32,000 sq ft, two story community center; and a 113,000 sq ft, 280 stall, four story parking garage. This project includes a new 2.7 acre park featuring and outdoor water play area. Through close coordination with the architect, the buildings were designed with energy use reduction, daylight harvesting, and other sustainable measures. With an efficient building design, LP Consulting Engineers strived to design the most effective mechanical and lighting systems balancing energy efficiency, budget, operating cost, serviceability and the owner's needs. Through these and other efforts, the project achieved LEED® Silver certification.
