After this renovation of approximately 90,000 square feet, the Merced County Health Department relocated a portion of its staff and programs into the old Merced County Medical Center. In addition to comprehensive architectural upgrades, this renovation included the complete replacement of all mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems to meet the County’s goals for the facility. The facility includes a two-story wing that houses office, meeting and activities spaces – while a transitional residential program occupies the first floor of the three-story wing with conference and office spaces on the upper two floors.
